... the Upper West Side’s premier pet-sitting service. We operate from 71st Street to 86th Street, Central Park West to West End Avenue. Our client list is limited in order to provide the highest level of personalized care, and the fact that we live within our coverage area means we can be flexible in offering full service — days, evenings and weekends.

When Would You Want Us?

  • When you have a puppy and want to ensure proper socialization from the moment he joins your household, including outdoor socialization and behavior training.

  • When you have an adult dog that is too reactive, arthritic, shy or exuberant to be considered an easy walker, or any dog that requires special management for whatever reason.

  • When your dog or cat is unvaccinated and cannot be boarded when you travel.

  • When your cat requires life-sustaining medication in your absence.

  • When you want to establish a personal relationship with your pet’s care provider.

There are lots of pet-care services out there. Here’s how we’re different, whether you’re looking for Dog Walking or Cat Sitting:

Dog Walking:

  • Experienced. We both are Certified Pet Dog Trainers. The CPDT is the nation’s largest certification for dog trainers who have studied the most up-to-date, humane and effective methods of dog training. Visit the CPDT site to learn more about why you should choose a CPDT. And visit Big Apple Dog School for our own dog-training site. We offer basic behavior training and behavior modification for separation anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding and aggression.

  • Professional. When we walk your dog, we bring all our knowledge of animal behavior and training with us. We are expert dog handlers and can work effectively with dogs of all temperaments — including those dogs considered difficult walkers because they don’t get along with other dogs, are reactive to adults and children or are easily spooked on the street.

  • Committed. We have been in business since 2002, are bonded and insured and are certified by the Red Cross in Pet First Aid. Since we work exclusively with our clients and do not subcontract our services, you will know exactly who is in your home with your pet and when.

  • Broadly Trained. We have been educated by some of the best dog handlers and trainers in the country, including Dr. Pamela Reid, a certified applied animal behaviorist that many consider the best all-around dog trainer in the United States, and Victoria Wells, the ASPCA’s Manager of Behavior and Training, specializing in rehabilitation and behavior modification of abused and neglected animals. She can often be seen working with dogs on Animal Planet’s Animal Precinct. In addition, we have participated in workshops with Dr. Ian Dunbar (general training), Pia Silvani (coaching and counseling owners), Sue Sternberg (behavioral assessment, reactivity, dog-run behavior), Ken McCort (motor patterns, drives and instincts), Karen Wells (separation anxiety), Steve Diller (business management), Wendy Van Kerkhove (reactive dog classes), and Jesus Rosales-Ruiz (aggression treatment).

Cat Sitting:

  • Experienced. We are experienced in all kinds of medication administration, including subcutaneous fluids, pills, eye/ear meds, insulin or allergy shots, and asthma inhalers.

  • Committed. We have been in business since 2002, are bonded and insured and are certified by the Red Cross in Pet First Aid. Since we work exclusively with our clients and do not sub-contract our services, you will know exactly who is in your home with your pet and when.
